The last update was 2004 which is rather a long time ago. .. Pages in Microsoft Win 8 support say that there is no need to manually update Directx if the system updates automatically. I can't imagine it is missing this DLL. it could be benefit me. The system I bought came with Windows 8.1 Pro preinstalled, however since the company is still using Windows XP the technician just installed XP over the 8.1 pro. Can't click on things or scroll it up or down.
